The Archeological and Adventure Playground Moorwiese is an pedagogically oriented and educator staffed playground for children from the ages of 6 to 16. We are located in the Berlin-Buch, a northern neighborhood in the Pankow region of the city Berlin.
In this fun and immersive historical space children can experience for
themselves life as it was in the Bronze Age, Iron Age, and Middle Ages. Our
encouragement of children-managed digs in the archeologically interesting area of Berlin-Buch further strengthens the role-playing environment.
The Moorwiese lies in a birch forest between the local primary school and
neighboring moorland. With this location the playground also provides
wonderful opportunities for experiential learning in nature.
Some of our other offerings include hut-building, blacksmithing,
woodworking, and gardening. We are working on acquiring a few goats, sheep, and ponies in the near future.
